Your Microblading Treatment

With only one treatment plus your initial top-up (included in the initial cost), you can expect your new brows to last anywhere from 1 to 3 years.

Your microblading treatment is a 2-stage process to maximise its long-lasting results:

Your initial microblading treatment. During the first part of your microblading treatment, I will create the base work for your new brows.
Your touch-up session. The second part of your treatment enables me to check your brows are healing well and to help ensure you enjoy long-lasting results. I will make any adjustments to the shape and colour of your brows to fill any pigment that may have poor retention.

To help ensure you get the best out of your microblading treatment, I ask all my clients to complete a Microblading Consent Form. Here you can find comprehensive information on what to expect from your microblading treatment, including pre-care, the technique itself, what you can expect during your appointment, and aftercare. I also provide health-related considerations and guidance on maximising your microblading’s long-lasting effects.

Ahead of your microblading treatment, you will receive a patch test, which I can send to you directly in the post, or you can visit my at-home salon. Undergoing a patch test is highly recommended as it ensures you're not allergic to the products before you start your microblading treatment.

I prioritise your safety and satisfaction at all times, following strict hygiene standards and using only sterile, disposable tools to guarantee a safe and comfortable experience for you.

Microblading Deposit

A non-refundable deposit is required upon booking. The deposit amount will be deducted from your total treatment price. Please note, booking is only confirmed with this payment.

I ask for a minimum of 48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule an appointment to another date and time. Failure to give a minimum of 48 hours notice will result in a loss of deposit and an additional charge on the next appointment booked.

What is Microblading? Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that creates natural-looking eyebrow hair strokes using a specialised hand tool with ultra-fine needles. Unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, it's less invasive and typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on your skin type and skincare routine. This artful technique gently etches each 'hair' into the skin, creating an incredibly natural and realistic appearance. Microblading can dramatically enhance sparse brows, reconstruct lost eyebrow hair, or refine existing brows. It's perfect for those with little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age, or over-tweezed brows. I carefully select pigments to match your natural or desired brow colour, taking your skin tone into consideration for the most harmonious result.

How long does the treatment take? Your initial microblading appointment typically takes 2.5-3 hours. During this session, I'll shape and style your brows for your approval before proceeding with pigment colour selection. Once you're completely satisfied with the choices, I'll begin the procedure, creating beautiful, natural-looking brows that enhance your features. Your touch-up session takes place 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment and lasts approximately 1.5-2 hours. This important follow-up ensures your brows look their absolute best and helps extend the longevity of your results.

What happens during the healing process? After your treatment, your brow area may appear slightly red, and the colour will initially look very dark—this is completely normal and part of the healing process. The colour will fade by up to 40% as healing progresses. In the days following, you'll notice slight scabbing as your skin heals. It's essential not to pick at these scabs, as this could damage the skin and affect your final results. Your brows will gradually lighten as they heal. The complete healing process takes approximately 7-14 days, with the colour fully setting in after about a month. During healing, you might notice the skin has a milky, opaque quality—this is known as "milk skin" and is common as your tissue continues to heal from the inside out. Your true, beautiful colour will reveal itself once healing is complete.

Is the touch-up session necessary? Absolutely! Your touch-up session after 4-6 weeks is essential as everyone heals differently and outcomes vary. Some areas may not retain pigment during the first session and will need to be refined. We might also adjust the pigment colour, brow thickness, or add more strokes as needed. If you have oily skin, you may require a deeper shade during your touch-up as natural oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch-up session is when I perfect your brows to ensure they look gorgeous and retain colour beautifully.

Can I get my touch-up session sooner than 4 weeks? I recommend waiting the full 4-6 weeks before your touch-up session. This allows time for the pigment to fully settle into your skin and, most importantly, gives your tissue time to completely heal, preventing any risk of scarring or damage. Patience during this healing phase ensures the best possible long-term results for your beautiful new brows.

Is the treatment painful? Your comfort is important to me, though the treatment process does involve some sensation. During microblading, I work in stages to ensure the most precise, beautiful results. For the first pass, I work without anaesthetic as this allows me to create the crispest, most defined hair strokes. After this initial pass, I apply a topical anaesthetic to ensure your comfort for the remainder of the treatment. The sensation varies from person to person—some clients describe it as light scratches, while others report minimal discomfort. After your treatment, you might experience some redness and slight swelling, similar to a light sunburn. If needed, you can take Paracetamol, but please avoid aspirin or ibuprofen as these can thin the blood. My topical anaesthetics may contain lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine, and/or epinephrine. If you have any known allergies to these ingredients, please let me know during your consultation.

How long do the results last? Since microblading places pigments at a more superficial level than traditional tattoos, the results naturally fade over time. Typically, microbladed brows last 1-3 years, depending on your skin type (normal, oily, dry), age, and skincare routine. Certain factors can accelerate fading, such as sun exposure, tanning, and using products with AHA or glycolic acid, as these cause your skin to resurface more quickly. Each person's colour retention varies based on their unique skin characteristics. To keep your brows looking fresh and beautiful, I recommend a touch-up every 12-18 months. You can allow the microbladed area to fade naturally over time, though a slight shadow may remain.

What are the pre and post-care instructions? Upon booking your appointment, I'll provide you with comprehensive pre and post-care instructions tailored specifically for your treatment. These guidelines are designed to help you achieve the best possible results and ensure a smooth healing process. My detailed instructions cover everything from preparation before your appointment to caring for your brows during the healing phase. Following these recommendations carefully will help you achieve beautiful, long-lasting results. If you have any questions about these instructions at any point, please don't hesitate to reach out—I'm here to support you throughout your microblading journey.

Who is not suitable for this procedure? While microblading can benefit many people, certain conditions may make you unsuitable for this treatment. These include: Using Accutane Heart conditions or using heart medications Diabetes (will require a physician's note) Skin diseases or irritations Recent Botox (within the last 2 weeks) Deep tan or chemical peels in the last 2 weeks Allergies to lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine, or epinephrine Very oily skin (machine hair strokes or powder brows would be a better option than microblading) Anyone with serious medical conditions may require a physician's note before treatment. If you're pregnant or nursing, I suggest discussing with your doctor first, as microblading is still considered a form of tattooing. I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who I deem not suitable for this procedure or for any other reason. Your safety and satisfaction are my highest priorities.

Do you perform patch tests? Yes, all my clients receive a patch test prior to their microblading treatment. This important safety step helps ensure you won't have an adverse reaction to any of the pigments or products used during your treatment. Your patch test can be arranged either by post or during a quick visit to my at-home salon. This test should be done 5-7 days before your scheduled appointment, giving us time to observe any potential reactions and make adjustments if needed. Your safety and comfort are my top priorities throughout this process.

What if I don't like my results? I understand that choosing to have microblading is a significant decision, and I'm committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction. Before the procedure begins, we'll work together to shape and style your brows to your exact preferences. I'll only proceed once you're completely happy with the proposed shape and colour. During your treatment, every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, though it's important to remember that our faces are naturally asymmetrical. Any unevenness can be addressed during your touch-up session, along with any pigment adjustments or colour corrections needed. I encourage all potential clients to research thoroughly, look through artists' portfolios (including my own before and after gallery), and come to their consultation with any questions or concerns. My goal is to create beautiful brows that enhance your natural features and leave you feeling confident and delighted with your results.
